![]() Episode 06 - Daughter of the Enemy? Kyoko can't be bad! A blazing yellow sun shone over the four girls as they sat together on the white circular stage. It was at this place they felt most at ease for it was the brightest area of the school. It had become a meeting place for them on Sundays when they discussed their feelings with each other and of the enemies they were facing. Back and forth, they tossed opinions of the dark soldier who had appeared during their last battle, but none could understand her connection to Mamoru. They knew she was their enemy and yet she seemed so familiar, so close to each of them. "Mamoru-sama, he was injured when she was injured." Melody said. "When Mamoru-sama was injured..." Bunny echoed softly as she eyed her arms and chest. She gingerly touched the same area on her arm where he had been hurt the night before. No scars marred her body, yet she could still feel a dull throbbing as if she been hit as well. Although the others had not admitted it, she knew they had felt the same pain. "Maybe the girl could be another student from this school, from the Planet Academy," Oceanna offered. Thinking along the same lines, Pepper nodded her head in agreement. What she could not figure out was who it could be. There were so many new students at the school, unlike the way it had been when everyone knew each other. "It would be quite difficult to single a person out." "We have to move quickly in finding this person. Our enemies seems to be growing in power every time we go into battle." Oceanna replied. Before any more could be said, another girl approached the stage. She was not much taller than them and had short black hair which had been pulled back into a tiny ponytail. She wore a dark shirt, gray skirt and a mischievous smile. "Everyone, what are you doing out here?" "Kuroi-san!" Pepper exclaimed in a startled voice. "Sorry to be interrupting, Mint-san. You four look like you're discussing something important. Maybe I should leave." "Don't be silly," Pepper insisted with a nervous voice, "We were just... reminiscing about past things. Feel free to join us, Kuroi-san. Right everyone?" The others nodded their heads in compliance except for Bunny who held her hand against her chest, casting her eyes to the ground instead. "What is this awful feeling I am having? Could it be this girl?" "Actually, I was just curious about your blond friend, Tsukino Usagi." "Why Usagi-san?" Melody quickly snapped. Kyoko's eyes widened for a moment with shock at the younger girl's impertinence. Rather than indulge in the desire to put the child in her place, she coolly answered Melody's question, "I don't know if you can feel the warmth around her but that girl filled me with something from the moment I saw her. I only want to know her better."
Usagi sat alone in her room as she loosened the odango hair buns and began brushing the freed strands as she moved to her window. She stared at the afternoon sun outside and wished she could understand what the dark soldier had meant. It had confused and scared everyone when Mamoru suffered injuries for an attack that did not even strike him but instead had been aimed at the dark haired girl. "Another soldier. They all claim to be from the Earth. Mamo-chan is the Earth's guardian but they say... they say..." she trailed off. Suddenly, her mind snapped back to the harsh reality that Mamoru was injured. Usagi closed her eyes and began to pray to herself. "Mamo-chan, please be alright. Kami-sama, please, Kami-sama, watch over him." After pinning her hair back, she jumped off her bed and moved to her closet. She put on a pretty pink and white dress and added a hint of make-up to her face. She leapt out of her room passing a stunned Luna, who hardly recognized her. "Usagi-chan?" the guardian cat said to herself as she watched the mature looking girl gracefully glided down the flight of stairs. Much to her disappointment, the spell was broken as the girl approached last step. The heel of her foot caught and she fell flat on her face. Luna looked down at her in exasperation. "Yes, it must be Usagi-chan." Un-phased, the odango brushed herself off and continued out the door. She kept running until she made her way to a flower shop. Inside, she was pleased find many different assortments of flowers. She searched the shop until she came upon one area of interest. She inhaled the intoxicating fragrance as she stepped in a section full of roses. With eager hands she gathered red ones, white ones, and even a few that were pink. Usagi then moved on to some other exotic flowers and added them in for a bit of spice. When completed she brought them to the front where an elderly woman smiled at her. She shrieked as the florist quoted the price. She didn't have THAT much on her.
"Doing a good deed for such a beautiful girl is the least I can do, Tsukino Usagi." "Ha-have we met?" Usagi stuttered as her cheeks reddened. "At the Planet Academy, you asked me for directions to find your friends. I'm Kurio Kyoko, and I would very much like to get to know you better." "Kyoko-san, I would like to know you more as well, but I am on my way to my boyfriend's house. He's sick. Please don't think I am ungrateful for your help. I--" "Shhhh. You don't have to worry about offending me. I'll keep you company 'till you get to his house, okay?" "Okay." Usagi cheered, happy that her new friend was not already cross with her. Together they began to walk toward Mamoru's house. As they did Kyoko offered her arm and Usagi held on, feeling comfortable with the girl.
Haruka and Michiru sat alone in their favorite coffee shop. They recaptured the events of the past couple weeks while they waited on their order. After their previous meeting with Setsuna and Hotaru the couple was frustrated and more concerned than ever. Haruka slammed her fist down on the table, "What can this enemy be all about? We can't seem to find a way to hurt her!" Michiru nodded with a tired look in her eyes. "Not without hurting Mamoru-san in the process." "Will there never be an end to these evils?" Michiru looked out the window by their table. "We can't think about that now," she answered before looking back to her partner. "We'll fight together, won't we?" "Of course, to the end," Haruka assured. Michiru placed her hand on the boyish looking woman across from her. Haruka showed a hint of a smile just as the waitress came with their coffee. Both reached for their cups and took a sip. It was Haruka's turn to search out the window for answers that would not come. "Mamoru-san, Odango atama, I hope you two will be able to stand against this enemy." Outside the coffee shop, a young couple walked through Haruka's line of vision. "It can't be. I thought Mamoru-san was still recovering." "What is it?" Michiru questioned as she looked to find what her partner was staring at on the street. She moved closer to the window so that she could study the figure walking arm in arm with blond haired girl. "A woman..." "She looks so much like Mamoru-san. Who is she?" "I'm not sure but it is remarkable," Michiru answered then she furrowed her eyebrows in thought. "I feel there is something amiss about her." Haruka pressed her fingers to the glass as if to touch Usagi and whispered, "Odango atama..."
Kyoko slipped one of the pink flowers from the bouquet and placed it in her hair. "Now you will shine even brighter." Usagi looked up as her heart pounded. There was a familiarity to the dark girl's eyes. Kyoko leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "So warm. She smells like Mamo-chan." Kyoko walked off throwing her only one last intense glance. Suddenly, Usagi's cheeks grew bright red with embarrassment as she realized Kyoko was acting strange towards her. She snapped out of it quickly as she said out loud, "Mamo-chan!"
Pepper, Melody, Bunny and Oceanna ate dinner at the Dining Hall of the Academy. Even though it was mostly empty on Sundays, none said a word about the enemy. All four seemed unwilling to risk that the few remaining students could be connected to, or worse, actually be the enemy. Finally deciding to take a chance, Oceanna whispered, "It could be the new owner, right?" "Since the change over, the school's become a breeding ground for evil. It might very well be but no one knows who the owner is," Pepper said. "We could look it up on the school's computer, right?" Bunny suggested. "We don't have access to that sort of thing, not since the switching anyway. All information about the teachers and owners is now restricted, sealed off from the students." "Who do we know that can do that sort of thing?" Melody mused as she rested her head in her hands. She exhaled a long, deep breath of air as she eyed the ceiling for answers. Bunny's eyes lit up, "I know someone who can do it."
Soon enough the Odango had made her way up the elevator and opened the door with the spare key her boyfriend had given her. She removed her shoes at the doorway and tiptoed through the apartment. In the kitchen she found a vase and filled it with water. Quickly, she inserted the roses. With the vase now full of flowers she approached the door to his room to find it closed but unlocked. Carefully, she reached for the handle. The girl flinched at the creaking sounds as she opened it and found him lying on his bed, awake but weak. He noticed her and began to sit up. "Usa, I-- you, are those flowers for me?" The dark haired man stuttered as he looked at the beautiful vision in front of him. She was truly breath-taking. She carelessly plopped down beside him on the bed. His eyes softened as he took her hand in his and laid back down. Usagi leaned over and hugged him tightly. He held her in his arms and sighed deeply in relief. With their hands still clasped together they fell asleep. From deep within, both the golden crystal and silver crystal resonated and passed power through them, healing both mind and body.
A dark-haired, young man sat in front of a computer. Four girls surrounded him and eyed the monitor curiously as he mumbled computer lingo to himself. The puzzling speech was almost comprehensible to Bunny but not enough to translate to the others. She only shrugged when her friends eyed her for answers. Oceanna nudged her softly and whispered, "Where did you find this guy?" "We're taking the same computer lab." "Isn't that the advanced class for our upperclassmen? What are you doing in there?" "There were lots of cool looking guys so I signed up." A sweat drop appeared as Oceanna shook her head in disbelief. Bunny whispered in her blond friend's ear. "It's luck that I did. Takashi-senpai's a genius in computer technology and about the only person who might be able to help the Element Soldiers at this point. I think he's --"
The girls all turned their attention to the screen as it flashed a list of teacher names and statistics. "We need more information, Takashi-senpai. We need the name of the owner." "Kinn-san, I don't think that's possible. I've gotten as far in as I can without the risk of us getting caught. Any further and we could be expelled. This information is off-limits." "Takashi-senpai, please." The man looked into her eyes and saw the urgency. "Kinn-san, don't worry! Takashi, world class hacker, will find what you're looking for." An hour passed as the girls waited. Each was slumped into one of the chairs in the room. The only sound was the clacking of a keyboard being struck by quick fingers. "Kinn-san, here it is. Wait, that can't be right..." Pepper looked at the screen in disbelief. "That name, Kuroi." "There's only a last name listed here. The only Kuroi I know is Kyoko-san." "Whaaaaat?" Melody screeched. "A student can't run the school... can they?" Oceanna commented. "Maybe one of her parents..." Pepper mused. The computer screen flashed wildly and Takashi frantically tried to escape the system with no luck. "We're caught! We're--" His words halted as a black form seeped from the computer monitor and hovered above the young man. His glasses slid down his nose slightly as he shook in fear. "Kinn-san, run! Get out of here with your friends." "Takashi-senpai!" Bunny yelled. Without hesitation the yoma turned into a fine mist and entered the frightened Takashi's body. A dark transformation took place as his school uniform changed into metal armor. His glasses became a visor covering his eyes and on his chest a black rose formed. Bunny stood frozen until she heard the other girls' voices calling her. Her eyes broke away from the scene to find the others already transformed. Quickly, she followed suit. The four were able to draw the dark armored enemy outside where they were safe from destroying any school property. Just returning from wandering around Tokyo, Kyoko neared the school. She had not been able to clear her mind of the little blond girl until she caught sight of the battle before her. Ducking behind a corner, she watched as the possessed young man was beaten without effort and reverted into his former self. Kyoko's eyes widened as she looked closely at the four female soldiers. They touched their rings and transformed back into their school uniforms. "It can't be...." Kyoko whispered to herself. She then began to laugh quietly. "It can't be. Mint-san, Kinn-san, Norris-san, Agace-san... they are the female warriors, the Sailor Elements? I've finally found you!" Her laugh continued to grow louder and more uncontrollable as her clothes began to fade, only to be replaced by a red and black sailor suit. End Episode 06.
