![]() Episode 01 - The quiet is once again broken? The enemy returns!
White light poured down on her rosy white skin. The sun was just rising over the lake and Serenity had grown to love waking before her companions to enjoy it rise. It was a time when she was free to whatever she wanted without restraint. She was, after all, a princess.
Things had been quiet since she decided to come to Elysion to fight off the evil beings who wished to make their world crumble. "Who were they?" she thought to herself.
"They came so quickly out of nowhere and just like that they vanished. Did they give up? I guess we will never know." She closed her eyes for a moment. "Still, it is like a dream being this close to him."
She released her hair from its pigtails and odango style and let her dress slip from her body. Quickly she began to wade further out into the lake. It wasn't until she had gotten up to her waist that she heard a blood curdling scream behind her. She turned to see a small gray cat frozen in shock. The cat's little mouth hung open. "Diana," the princess groaned.
"Lady! Y-you shouldn't be out here like this!"
The pink haired girl's head tilted to the right as she wined, "Whhhyy? No one's awake yet."
Apparently woken from the cat's scream four soldiers, still in their nightgowns, came running up. When they saw what was going on they just shook their heads. Ceres spoke up in a hushed voice. "Serenity! You should know better. We aren't at the Crystal Palace. What if someone saw you!"
"What if he had come out here instead of us? Then you'd be in a fix!" Vesta scolded.
"He's not even up yet," Serenity shot back.
Pallas held up a silk pink piece of clothing, "Serenity, Pallas has your robe."
"Come on and get out of there!" Juno shot out.
Serenity stuck out her tongue in a childish manner. "You'll have to catch me if you want me to come in!"
The girls started to chase after the princess in exasperation. Soon enough it had turned into a game and they were all laughing and having a good time. From the golden white castle a figure peered out of a high window. The young man smiled softly at the childish display.
Two attendants entered the room and called to him softly. "Helios-sama, breakfast will be ready shortly."
He looked to them and shook his head in compliance. He turned one last time to look out the window before he followed the women out of the room.
In the darkest region of space, many solar systems away from the Earth, a black hole consumed yet another shining planet. Two figures watched contently from in the depths of the empty space in the hole.
Silently, a man moved into the room and approached the two figures. With animalistic instincts, the figures whirled around before the man could utter a word. A floating lantern revealed the faces of the figures, revealing them to be women. Their eyes glimmered with happiness when they realized who had come to pay them a visit. "Lapis-sama!" they both exclaimed as they bowed respectfully to him.
His face remained icy as he looked at them. Words formed from his lips, the pitch no higher than a whisper, "The time has come."
Both of the women nodded their heads in compliance and followed the man toward the edge of the Black Hole's grasp. As they walked, little spheres of light that were being sucked in trailed around their feet, ceasing to exist as they were drawn further in. With each flicker, the women would flinch, as their eyes were not adjusted to the light. The space outside of the Hole was intensely bright for them causing them to shield their eyes until they could focus again.
The women looked to each other in the light. The first, Jasper, was feral in appearance, with cat-like ears and fur. Her hair was red and skin darkly tanned. She wore a cloth dress over a skin-tight leotard. Her companion, Unakite, was also animalistic, with curled horn on the top of her head and on her shoulders. She had painted nails and lips. She wore a skin-tight suit under armor that covered select parts of her anatomy. Spiked cuffs finished her ensemble. In their outfits, they wore a similar piece of jewelry on their foreheads. It design was simple, an oval in the center and two out stretched pieces pointing outward.
The man, Lapis, called for their attention as a wormhole appeared before them. They stepped from the blackness of the one Hole and into the next. "Where are we headed this time, Lapis-sama?" Unakite asked.
"To the Milky Way, to the brightest stars in the cosmos," he answered.
Elysion glimmered with light as the girls bustled about with their job of taking care of the Lady Serenity. Books were stacked high as they went through different subjects, math, science, language, art, literature, and most importantly history. The girls occasionally visited the Crystal Palace to update the king and queen on the situation. There had been no developments on the incident over a month ago and everyone had begun to wonder if it was an isolated incident.
The girls soon decided it was time to rest for the day and give into their princess' whining. Ceres, Juno, and Vesta were scheduled to visit the palace today anyway. Pallas and Serenity saw them off and the two were left alone. "Pallas, you know you could have gone with them. I don't always need a bodyguard," the princess said.
"It was my turn to stay behind. Besides, Pallas really doesn't mind. What should we do while they're gone?"
"How about going to the lake again."
The blue clad woman groaned. "Will this include Pallas chasing a wet princess again?"
"No," Serenity laughed, "let's just watch the sun set. I have some candy I swiped from Vesta last night."
"YAY! Vesta's so stingy anyway!"
"What?"
"Well, I know next to nothing about you or the others. I want to know you better. You know so much about me already. I don't like to wake up early, I steal candy from my mom and Vesta, though they steal it from me too. Ahh... let's see..."
"Me? I guess that's good, but I meant more like hobbies and fun things."
"Pallas' princess is fun. She makes people laugh and feel good. She shared her candy with Pallas. Palla-- I... I like protecting you. You are a friend princess, a true friend. Until the light of my Sailor Crystal dies out I want to protect you."
Serenity's eyes shone with happiness. She had a friend right in front of her and she didn't realize it. A cool breeze tickled the once still air, blowing trendles of hair about them.
Just beyond the lake, trees covered the landscape, hiding their present enemies. The three beings from the Black Hole had arrived. "What a waste of light, of life! It should be consumed and return to the darkness of space." Unakite uttered to herself.
The horned woman, still hidden behind the trees, stood to her feet and raised her arm toward the glimmering lake. "Mistress of the Dark Death, I call to you to lend me your strength. Grant me a creature to overtake the light of the Sylph. Charon Gem-silica guide their souls to your world!"
As bubbles began to float to the top of the water Unakite's lips curled into a vicious smile. She turned her back to the scene and rejoined her companions.
The sun had just set over the trees and the sky's pink glow was turning to shades of blue. The two girls stood to their feet, brushing their bottoms of grass and dirt. Before they could turn to leave, the lake began to make a loud gurgling sound. Both watched in horror as a boat emerged from the depths of the water. A ferryman stood within it. Its face and body covered in cloth. Quickly, the two girls called out to transform into sailor soldiers.
"Pallas Asteroid Power! Make Up!"
"Moon Star Power! Make Up!"
Newly transformed, the girls took their positions, awaiting the next move of their enemy. It didn't waste any time in attacking. The cloak which had previously covered the charon's features flew away with a strong gust of wind. It was blue in color and had fish-like characteristics. "Charon Gem-silica!" it cried out.
Before the girls could react, the ferry boat had lifted high into the air on a large wave. As the wave dispersed underneath it, the ferry came crashing down toward the soldiers. Pallas was brutally smashed into the ground by the heavy wooden item. The princess soldier screamed out but her voice was lost in the crash.
"Pallas!!!" Moon screamed out again.
In the middle of the lake, Gem-silica held the sailor soldier by her throat. She squeezed for a moment, but swung her around and tossed her into the air. Before she could fall into the water the wooden stick the charon had been using to paddle caught her. It lengthened until the soldier was hanging ten feet or more in the air. Her limbs felt like jelly, she was paralyzed in this position. The creature flipped a coin into the air and called out a single word, "obolus."
It entered the soldier's chest and she screamed in pain. Obolus was the coin that would pay for her passage into the world of the dead. Translucent wings sprouted from her back, almost two times her body length. Moon looked on in horror as her friend passed out from the pain. A light from her chest lit up the sky. From the light appeared her shining Sailor Crystal.
Before the charon could capture the Sylph it lost it's footing and fell hard on the wooden boat's bottom. Angrily, it looked around to find the other soldier shaking it violently. It grabbed her by her neck. She struggled but she was not in position to break free. Suddenly, high above she heard the sound of rushing wind and the cry of a horse.
The charon was once again ready to attack, but this time so was Pallas. She raised her arms high in the air and called out fiercely, "Amazones War Owl!"
Within seconds an attack fell upon the creature. Pallas looked to her princess and called for her to finish it off. Sailor Moon agreed and raised her weapon high. "Pink Lady's Freezing Kiss!"
The other soldiers returned later that night and were shocked at the news. "I guess their threat was for real," Ceres stated.
"We'll have to keep watch," Pallas stated.
Looking out from the window, Helios' eyes were filled with worry. Serenity approached him and placed her slender hand on his shoulder. "Thank you for today."
He only smiled at her. "Maiden, I will always protect you."
"Don't worry, we'll protect this land, and the Earth. For as long as it takes, we will be here."
